bacon!
6. You stuffed yourself at dinner, and still have enough leftovers for 2 meals.

5. In less than one hour, you and your dining companions tear through a basket of butter and wetnaps.

4. There is barbecued bacon on the menu as an appetizer. As in, bacon as a food unto itself, and not as a complement, topping, or vehicle for some other, lesser food.

3. Zoe remarks afterwards that it feels like she's just eaten a box of salt. And she's probably right.

2. You use your camera to conduct a short video interview of Bevin eating a sandwich dubbed THE ELVISH CRUSHER, which is made with peanut butter, bananas, and bacon.

1. You come home with a raging meat headache that Advil can't even begin to help.

BBQ tour?
*drool*

Y'all should check out Dallas Jones BBQ.
Its a teeny (10 seats) place in the W. Villiage. Portion sizes aren't crazy huge, but definitely generous. And yummy. I couldn't find one thing to complain about.

I had bad dreams too. Blame it on the meat!

B, I don't know if I can do BBQ on a weekly basis. I don't know if I'm woman enough to handle it!

Tara, I think it depends on who the BBQ is and where we go. Because seriously? I think there was some spite in that chicken wing sauce.

Amazing. Amazing.

I remember the time I went for lunch with my brother years ago to one of those brazilian multi-meat fest restaurants and we ate so much meat that 12 hours later when I was laying in bed going to sleep, I STILL felt full, even though I hadn't eaten anything else that day!! And I had a meat headache.

I'm sure that if I hadn't have slept it off, I too would have been full for the next half a day!

mmmm...bacon. Thinking about you BBQ made me happy when not many things are doing that right now.

I went to a party once and had the most delicious bacon appetizer. It was bacon wrapped around skinny breadsticks and then glazed with this salty, brown sugar...something glaze that turned a beautiful smoky caramel over the bacon. I have no idea how to duplicate it though, I don't even know what to call it to figure it out. Google resulted in some things that were close but they don't seem to be it. Anyway, it was the bomb and you are the bomb and I wish you were BBQ-ing in Seattle.

Oh god, that sounds heavenly! If you ever do find the recipe, please let me know.

Also, some dear friends of mine are moving to Seattle this fall, so I will probably be visiting within the next year or so. And we can finally meet and eat BBQ!

On a related note, are you going to the femme conference this summer? I am and would love to meet up if you are!
